Emirati Artist Shaima Al Awadhi' Portfolio

Shaima is an emerging Emirati artist born in 1990. She is a graduate of communication and media at Zayed University - Dubai. She majored in Integrated Strategic Communication and was elected in Art and Design. She pursued her art path back in school when she studied GCSE and AS level. She developed multiple mixed media techniques in the areas of paintings, photography, sculptures, and installation. 

Her father encouraged her to develop her art skills, as he is also a fine artist (Abdulrahman Zainal). She managed to explore a variety of techniques or methods from him. During school, she opened her first exhibition in AS studies, and she was one of the top 5 best AS level art students worldwide. 

She was shortlisted for "the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award" and participated in a charity-based exhibition that took place at The Dubai Mall to raise money for the disabled. Shaima participated in the Espoir Contemporain exhibition under the theme of "Eye of a Woman". Last year she took part in the Ajman cultural project to design one of their sculptures. 

Shaima is a flexible artist who can work with many different mediums, styles, and techniques. However, her strength lies in using mixed media, realistic portraits, landscapes, and abstract pieces. She also has experience in digital painting. 


Emirati Artist Shaima Al Awadhi showcasing her artworks at ArtSmiley exhibition in a luxurious holiday home at Emirates Hills. This private villa will be a home for many High Net Worth individuals, corporates during the EXPO 2020.

Yana Rusnak (born in Cherkasy, Ukraine on 11th November 1993) – Ukrainian contemporary artist. Yana Rusnak’s paintings are held in private collections and are on display in commercial buildings in Miami, New York, Cairo, Beirut, Moscow, Dubai, Riyadh, Kiev, London, and Geneva.
