Ukrainian Artist Yana Rusnak's Portfolio

Yana Rusnak (born in Cherkasy, Ukraine on 11th November 1993) – Ukrainian contemporary artist. Yana Rusnak’s paintings are held in private collections and are on display in commercial buildings in Miami, New York, Cairo, Beirut, Moscow, Dubai, Riyadh, Kiev, London, and Geneva. In the images of her paintings, we see a fusion of the figurative and the abstract.

By looking towards the best traditions of contemporary world art, Yana has been able to create a new special form where painting and photography are tools. Through the photographs, which are conceptual quotations, the artist reveals the idea of the project. They are fixated on the ‘dialogue with the universe’. Music, Light, Nature, the Galaxy are the life-affirming emotion of golden energy. Each of the author’s works contains a gold nugget.

Yana Rusnak speaks of her painting: “Great personal passion, rhythms interweaving, meanings, codes ”. Her works were presented in the art spaces of Venice, Miami, Monaco, Beirut, Vienna, Baku, Dubai. We can courageously call this artist a cultural diplomat, since her works have stood in line with such world-known stars as Yoko Lennon, Orlan, Phil Akashi. Yana's paintings can be found in private collections, offices, and galleries.

The paintings are made in the author's personal style using horizontal technology developed by the artist. You can look at them long and attentively, and each time you’ll discover something new again. Symbolism is an integral part of her work.

Concept of Yana Rusnak’s works

Painting a picture, the artist uses hidden messages, allegories, and even codes with a deep philosophical meaning. Thus, triangles in her paintings mean a unity of masculine and feminine principles or the triune nature of the universe as love, truth, wisdom, or sky, earth, human. Gold is a symbol of the Earth's mystery, sunlight, or holiness.

Silver represents the moon and its night glow, cold and pure, innocence, purity, wisdom. The image of a horse rushing towards the wind symbolizes a freedom-loving individual not accepting strict frames and restrictions, jealously guarding its personal space, not being driven by circumstances. Tigers are shown with fortitude, powerful energy, strong character and temperament, fair beliefs. The cheetah is grace and agility, speed and quickness.

This is the speed in making important decisions, clarity in choosing actions to achieve the desired goals. The image of a cheetah jumping or running is associated with the goals pursuit and constant human development. The lion is a symbol of endurance and persistency. Pride and justice, ferocity and imperiousness are reunited in it. There is a special energy that fulfills the space in the paintings depicting creeping predators or a rushing horse. Hypnotically gazing at each canvas and breaking away from the existing reality, you involuntarily plunge into the world of emotions and symbols created by the artist.
