Emirati Artist Shaima Al Awadhi' Portfolio
Shaima is an emerging Emirati artist born in 1990. She is a graduate of communication and media at Zayed University - Dubai. She majored in Integrated Strategic Communication and was elected in Art and Design. She pursued her art path back in school when she studied GCSE and AS level. She developed multiple mixed media techniques in the areas of paintings, photography, sculptures, and installation. Her father encouraged her to develop her art skills, as he is also a fine artist (Abdulrahman Zainal). She managed to explore a variety of techniques or methods from him. During school, she opened her first exhibition in AS studies, and she was one of the top 5 best AS level art students worldwide. She was shortlisted for "the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award" and participated in a charity-based exhibition that took place at The Dubai Mall to raise money for the disabled.
