Ulrike Krocker - Fine Artist / Writer / Publisher.
Born in Austria, Ulrike was exposed to art from a young age. Her love for painting deepened during her studies in Paris where the abundance of marvelous art inspired her to start her first artistic ventures.
She has been living in Abu Dhabi for more than 30 years and upon retirement from a demanding business career she is finally able to dedicate all her time to painting.
In November 2017 she opened her studio and presented her first show of acrylic pouring paintings “The Flow of Life”.
In October 2018, Ulrike showed at Etihad Modern Art Gallery as part of the exhibition: “Inspired by the Emirates” sponsored by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Ulrike‘s imaginative art pieces have be- come extremely popular with her diverse audience and now decorate the walls of international collectors across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and Australia.
Artistic Process :
The main importance of acrylic pouring is to obtain a consistent flow of paint as well as the right viscosity in order to achieve a desired amount of cells emerging through different layers of paint.
Artist statement :
By trying to manipulate and thereby control the chemical and physical aspects during the complex process of ‘acrylic pouring’, I feel that I am able to transfer the flow of experiences I wish to visually express onto a canvas.
