"Stroll in Bur Dubai”, Watercolour on Paper Painting by Filipino Artist Edcel Cabalan

Image
Bur Dubai lies on the southern side of Dubai Creek and is the oldest part of the city. Discover historical buildings, museums, mosques, and ancient neighborhoods as you stroll its streets. Due to its low tourist density, this part of Dubai provides a fascinating view of old Dubai. Despite its more primitive appearance, Bur Dubai offers a sense of community spirit that is seldom found in other townships. In the renovated Al Fahidi and Shindagha historic districts, you can soak up the city's history. Take a stroll around the souq, where you'll find locals, ethnic eateries, and traditional atmospheric shops. Shop for souvenirs in the re-energized Al Seef area, then sit at a waterfront cafe and watch the boat traffic on Dubai Creek. The painting was inspired by the old Bur Dubai street scene which highlights the towering minaret as a focal point. "Ice Cold Rocks", Mixed Media Painting on Canvas by Artist Alina Ambivalent

Image
Wind and gravity deposit tiny pieces of ice in snow. An iceberg changes as snow accumulates on it. Ice becomes firn when it is recrystallized layer after layer by the pressure of layers of snow.  As a result of heat or pressure, it becomes a metamorphic rock. During freezing, the water turns from a liquid to a solid. Lake ice can be classified as igneous because it solidifies from melted material. Vijayadashami, also known as Dasara, Dashain, or Dussehra, is a Hindu festival that occurs yearly at the end of Navaratri. The Hindu calendar takes place on the tenth day of Ashvin, a seventh month on the Gregorian calendar that generally falls between the months of September and October. Vijayadashami is observed differently throughout the Indian subcontinent and celebrated differently for different reasons. Dussehra is synonymous with festivals in northern, central, and western states. It commemorates Rama's victory over Ravana and marks the end of Ramlila. Alternatively, it represents the worship of Durga or Saraswati, which are aspects of Devi. A typical Vijayadashami celebration involves a procession along a river or oceanfront carrying clay
