Artworks
Chromatic flows - Oil and acrylic on canvas
The work "Chromatic flows" is created on canvas through the drafting of fluid brushstrokes with oil and acrylic colors and with the insertion of thin cotton ropes. There are cuts on the canvas that give the work movement and depth. Observing the work, one has the sensation that the gaze goes beyond what is represented on the canvas, leaving ample space for personal imagination. “Chromatic flows” is part of a series of optical-tactile works (works to touch as well as to look at). If you close your eyes and touch the work, you develop an imaginative capacity that allows you to reach a personal mental and interpretative vision; at this point an emotional relationship arising from touch is established with the work. In the work, to the eye, the warm colors, such as orange and red, convey positive and stimulating sensations but at the same time decision; blue, reassurance, calm; purple, creativity; black and white the two irreconcilable extremes such as dark and light, night and day, evil and good, denial and freedom.

Marisa Mola - Transformation Oil and acrylic on canvas
The work "Transformation" is made on canvas with oil and acrylic colors. The idea of the work starts from the imaginary representation of a flower, in this specific case a rose, and then, through a process of lyrical abstractionism, decompose into new forms, signs, lines, creative paths through chromatic and gestural elaboration. In observing the work "Transformation", the imaginary interpretation of the flower represented becomes a reality that in turn never ceases to recreate new forms that give rise to infinite interpretations. The work conveys a surreal, fantastic, imaginative dimension; it does not appear as an unchangeable and static reality, but is received within the imagination of the beholder as a force that reinvents and recreates itself. In the work the choice of shades of green emerges as a sign of balance, harmony, stability and of the color white as a sign of freedom and a new beginning. Metaphorically, the work represents life that continues, transforms and renews itself, in a process of inner, mental and physical growth.
