“Love is in the Air”: Love – the most beautiful feeling on earth. It gives immense pleasure to experience love for any living thing. Same is the case while representing love through art. As the two little birds on the tree share their love, the couple on the other side is immersed in the beautiful moment of love. The nature has created a perfect moment for them with the soothing moonlight, air filled with romantic fragrance from blossomed tree and the white bench is just waiting to give them a cuddle. This picture-perfect romantic scene in red, white and black, will adorn any wall spreading the essence and air of love. With that final sparkling resin coat on it – it’s nothing less than a dream come true.
“The Red River”: The cupid showers essence of love on all of us. It flows like a river in that empty dark space reminding us that love is irrational. Its redness indicates that love can sometimes create wounds and inflames our heart. But by blending with green and white it tells us that we can always bring in new energy, freshness, purity and innocence, if we remain in harmony. Once we cross this river thoughtfully, life glitters like gold and shows us the richness and value of this beautiful life. This canvas invokes the deep thought and understanding that if we sail through the river of love, even though it can be rough and tough at times, it brings that narrow hope of joy and sparkle on the other side. Failing to understand love creates deep darkness in life.
“The Pinkies”: Flowers are one of the most beautiful creation. It gives you a sense of freshness, it decorates your soul, it spreads pleasant aroma around. They give you the energy to thrive in vigor. They remind us of health and beauty. These three little pinkies have opened up bringing hope and joy to our lives. Those two buds remind us that no matter how your day is today, there is always a tomorrow. Those little water drops on them reminds us the nature’s tears of joy which she showers on its creations. This beautiful piece is indeed an ornament to your house.
Ranjisha Raghavan says:
I am an Engineer by profession. I worked in Oil & Gas Industry for about 15+ years and currently taking a break. In 2014, I discovered my passion in painting. Largely self-taught, since then I have been experimenting different mediums, styles and techniques.
As a continuous learner I am in the journey of discovering art and its power of expression. It is also helping me to observe and represent world from different perspective of colors and feelings.
Though my favorite themes are landscapes and flowers in oil, which were majority of my earlier works, currently I am experimenting other mediums and abstract styles. I also work with alcohol ink and doodle on them. Off lately, I have been infatuated with resin work and is getting to know the medium.
My objective is not to just create paintings, but to enjoy the process, go on a continuous journey of learning & creativity and at the same time narrate the story to the audience. It motivates and inspires me to live life to the fullest.
Participated in Year of Tolerance Exhibition conducted by Dubai International Art Centre in October 2019.
